Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor at WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She worked later as a morning news anchor at WCBD TV and acted as a crime reporter. Her reporting of the ineffective responses of police officers in response to DUI cases in Charleston resulted in an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division, which resulted in a new direction from the state authorities on DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell won an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. After her time in Charleston O'Dell worked as a co-anchor and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV before joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. O'Dell in addition to being the lead anchor for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She covered events such as The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. As well as co-hosting the Pre Show Arrivals in preparation for The Emmys & The Golden Globes.
